Dad here - first i have to admit that i haven't kept up on the family blog (as you all know). Not that i didn't want to, but everytime the last couple of months i went to look at it i could never remember how to get into it or username or password, etc. I'm using my age and forgetfulness more and more these days as an excuse for everything. You'll understand when you get to this age.
So, where do i start? Dani, proud of you passing the pre-test, great job. Other than you and Bret and Mom, Kannon definitely likes me the best.
Jas, keep hanging in there - the car problem will fix itself (well, obviously it won't fix itself, but it will be a distant memory, as everything usually is). School will be done soon. Great talk!
Lacee and Travis - for not having kids, you two sure are busy. but just wait, this is the easy part......
Cait - you smartee - our only current Idaho resident and the farthest away of anyone.... so we have to miss you the most! you're doing great!!! (thanks for pushing on the blog)
Sess - two weeks before we lose you? I'm not sure we can agree to this anymore, have to rethink some demands on Chance!
Bridge - bogged down in school work but still time to make cookies!!! Good job! Great talk!! miss you!
Brig - on top of things!! (Brig is going to pass you up in GT accomplishments, bridger!). and now just a year away from your Eagle!!! awesome.
Mom - poor mommy, works the hardest and always gets the load of everybody, and no time for herself. we love you mommy!!! Thank you for everything you do!
So, i'm in town the rest of thing week, in Kanab next week then Sessely temple on Friday, then wedding week, then in Idaho the next week and then Kanab thereafter. that is the current plan. Mommy is stuck with the typing pretty much full time starting next week so everybody do their part to try to make life easier for her.
so the Lord has blessed us with work still - he never fails! Not sure how to handle the calling while i'm gone. I have three families I'm working with. Cervantes just had a baby. they come to church often, but i can't get them to read the book of mormon! But they are slowly integrating into the branch. Maciels are a great family. They've had the missionaries many times so they know all the answers already. 18 year old daughter got deported to Mexico so the dad is there now trying to get her back. she has a 2 month old baby that the mom and dad are taking care of in her absence. Had a lesson with them on Monday night where i emphasized that there is only one true church on the earth with God's authority, the LDS Church. the 15 year old daughter turned to the mother and asked "so if their church is the only true church, why are we going to our church?" (Catholic). I have great hopes for them. The third family is 13 and 14 year kids who are members but inactive, and parents not members. Serious word of wisdom problems so that is a long-term case to work on. But i can sure see the hand of the Lord in everything that is happening, even if it is very slowly
Guess that is the best i can do for now. Love you all - keep writing and i'll try to do better with my posts.
Love Dad
